Trademark notice

Casewright is used in this repository as a project codename for a customer-operated freight claim and invoice-dispute evidence workspace. The project author is not a law firm, and this page is not legal advice.

Pending clearance

The project previously used the codename FreightProof, which was retired because a third party operates a freight-industry product under a confusingly similar mark at freight.rootz.global. The current name replaced it after a preliminary search found no same-category use, but a web search is not a trademark clearance: registry records, common-law use, and classification have not been reviewed by a qualified professional. Until clearance is recorded:

  • Do not register, purchase, or point a domain at this name.
  • Do not enable live billing, public checkout, or sales outreach under this name.
  • Do not print merchandise, signage, or marketing assets that claim exclusive use of the mark.

Permitted use

Evaluation, self-hosted deployment for an internal team, design-partner pilots under written agreement, and academic citation of the project are permitted. The mark is used nominatively to identify the project.

How to clear the name

Run a clearance search through a qualified trademark practitioner in each jurisdiction you plan to operate in, then either rename the project, license the mark, or formally coexist with documented non-overlap of goods and services. Record the outcome in this repository before any public launch.

Contact

Trademark inquiries go to the same place as everything else: reply to your purchase receipt, or use the address on the support page.
